Experience the perfect blend of Croydon’s rich heritage and Chinese cultural traditions at the Heritage Festival 2025. This year, we’re proud to feature the grand re-opening of the Chinese Temple, showcasing its stunning new design and innovative signage. We’re also honoured to welcome Chinese Consul General Dr Ruan Zongze to Croydon, adding special significance to this historic event.

Enjoy 9 days full of community celebrations, cultural performances, live music, rodeo and campdraft entertainment, and family-friendly activities—all with many free events throughout the festival.

Festival Highlights Include:

  • Grand opening of the Chinese Archaeological Temple Site

  • Dragon & lion dance performances + cultural workshops

  • Rodeo and campdraft competitions

Ticketed Events – Croydon Heritage Festival 2025

High Tea & Live Music at Kickin’ Kitchen
Wednesday 25 June, 2:00pm – $35 per person
Enjoy a relaxed afternoon of delicious treats, tea and live music next to Kickin’ Kitchen, located opposite the Croydon Club Hotel. A perfect midweek indulgence.

Croydon Forever Golden Tour – via the Gulflander
Thursday 26 June, 8:30am to 12:30pm – From $60 per person
Step aboard the legendary Gulflander for a guided rail journey into Croydon’s golden past. This half-day tour includes local storytelling, heritage stops, and light refreshments. Departs from the Visitor Information Centre.

Opening Night Festival Dinner & Live Music
Saturday 21 June, from 6:00pm – Festival Dinner now sold out
Our special 'Oriental in the Outback' dinner is fully booked, but you can still join us at the Heritage Precinct for live music with Dusty Haven and a lively dress-up contest.

Dress-up contest categories:

  • Best Group or Couple (max. 5 people)

  • Funniest Costume

  • Best Red & Gold Look

Location: Between the Courthouse and Police Station. Bring your own drinks, chairs or picnic setup for a great night under the stars.

 

The Heritage Shirt Competition drew in amazing talent, and we're happy to announce Luise D. as the winner! Her design is currently being finalised and will be available for purchase at the Heritage Festival launch—thank you to everyone who participated and brought the spirit of heritage to life!
